Mission: Movie Monthly

So what was supposed to be a double-header night featuring Whip It! and Post Grad, turned into a Fuse Top Hottest Video Countdown and Post Grad.  THVC was intense and a little nostalgic, as it featured blasts from the past, like Fiona Apple's Criminal and who'd've thunk that Chris Isaak's Wicked Game would be No.1? Gross.  I HATE that song.

Post Grad was a decent enough movie.  I like the fact that it was so short because any longer and they would have lost me.  Michael Keaton's portrayal of the weird dad got on my nerves but I appreciated seeing Rory Gilmore in a different light...although I kept wondering where Lorelei and co. were.  It was enjoyable enough, especially watching with my friends.  But was it memorable? Probably not.  I'd watch it again though.

It did get me thinking though.  Although I graduated quite a while ago, I still share some of the same "lost" sentiments as Ryden did.  I dunno if I could have up and left my life to follow a guy across the country (I swear, we weren't really watching Felicity) but sometimes I wish I could.  Whatever, I can't dwell on that right now.  This post will be of the "shallow" variety (as in, not a deep one).

All in all, a good night! Hopefully we can continue the movie nights for the rest of the year! I'm putting my foot down on it. =)
