Mission: Family Reunion, pt.I

It's been almost a month since the first wave of my clan touched down in Jersey and I am only just getting to write about it.  It's okay...it's nice being able to re-live those crazy, hectic days.  For my own sake, I'm going to do this in installments.  2 weeks is way too much to condense in a single entry.  So, here goes!

The first few days and nights were settling-in periods.  On Friday, the first family left as quickly as they arrived, as my uncle's family also wanted a piece of them.  So, they left for the weekend.  On Saturday, my family from Cali arrived.  It was great seeing them again and it's amazing how much they grew up! We didn't do much on that day but on Sunday it was church followed by Dim Sum.  Afterwards, the parents left for the grocery store while I took the kids to the park and the "zoo".

Get me outta' here!

Yeah, not very impressive but it took up an hour.  When we arrived home we had a pleasant surprise -- the last family had arrived 3 hours earlier!  After catching up, we played some Sungka, Mad Gab & Catchphrase, had a wonderful BBQ dinner and (they) played some basketball.

Towards the end of the night, that first family that left for the weekend returned and we were finally all reunited...and so begins the 2 week reunion.

to be continued.
oh boy.
